Day 63 (28 February)
Put some paint on the M113GA1 and Beobachtungspanzers. These are wargaming models and you can see plenty of things wrong but once I get the camouflage onto these they will do the job.
As with all gamers, projects come and go. Models you were thinking of moving on get a new lease of life due to a comment in the Hobby or a movie on TV. This will hopefully be my record of my best endeavours not to start anything new until I have at least completed 75% of what I already have....as if that is ever going to happen ;)

20 Minute Challenge - Day 62
Day 62 (27 Feb)
The AOP variant is coming along. I cannot rely on finding more parts for headlights so have go to straight styrene rod.

20 Minute Challenge - Day 61
Day 61 (26 Feb)
Another box opened and resin and metal stuck together. I so much prefer plastic kits these days. A trio of Bundeswehr Jaguar 1s.

20 Minute Challenge - Day 60
Day 60 - 25 Feb
Not a great deal of time available this week.
Crewed the M113, fitted the rear door and hatches and made some headlights (which are actually the end of the 81mm Mortar from the 250 Alte kit)

20 Minute Challenge - Day 59
Day 59 (24 Feb)
More work in the Bundeswehr. The M113 has had some addtional work done to it. First time I have tried something like this. Need to come down a gauge on the brass wire but does make it look that little bit different

20 Minute Challenge - Day 58
Day 58 ( 23 Feb)
Moving on with some Cold War goodness. Just started work on a Bundeswehr M113. Don't know if this will be the ambulance variant or a FuFüPz. The Battlefront PanzerMörser has the 8 barrelled smoke discharger as well as an MG3 in white metal. The smoke dischargers are not the best casting so might try my hand at some styrene ones. Had to carve off the shovel from the standard hull to get it to fit correctly. Headlights are wrong, but this is a gaming model.

20 Minute Challenge - Day 57
Day 57 (22 Feb)
Needed a break from plastic so put together the two Battlefront Gepards. The resin isn't brilliant so will need to be filled before these go under the airbrush

20 Minute Challenge - Day 56
Day 56 - 21 Feb
First failure. Nothing built today. However did get the airbrush out to work on the West Germans. I opted for the post 1984 scheme using the NATO 3 Colour pattern. Struggling with setting the airbrush up when using the Vallejo air paints.
In progress tester. These were painted using the NATO Paint set which I have had for ages. Left to right: NATO Surface Primer; NATO Light 231 Highlight and finally with the NATO Black and Brown added (haven't highlighted the black or brown yet)
I went for a production line approach to paint these and tried to follow the templates I had from Panzerbauer a couple of years ago. He didn't have a Marder one, but did have the FlakRak Roland which I extrapolated. As gaming models, they will do but will need to go back at some point and pin wash/highligh and finish the tracks

20 Minute Challenge - Day 55
Day 55 (20 Feb)
The last of the Marders completed. This now leaves a section of Gepards, a trio of Jaguars and some M113s to finish off (they are meant to be the Panzer Morser but have the West German smoke discharger set so will be used for the odd M113 variant (thinking ambulance possibly looking on the options).
Found some Bundeswehr Infantry and the Fliegerfaustgruppe in one of the boxes which will provide all of the Infantry needed for two platoons. On looking in the Fliegerfaustgruppe blister there aren't any unique figures to bulk out the Panzer Grenadiers so a lot of wasted Redeye teams. Might field one with the Company HQ/Forward HQ option

Next up is a Bo-105 PAH. The first one I have done as a straight Recce variant, but might go back and change that

20 Minute Challenge - Day 51
Day 51 - 16 Feb
Bo-105C for the West Germans/Dutch in 15mm. Need to wait for the superglue to dry properly before removing the spare magnets. Yes it looks odd, but I find it easier to manipulate a stack of magnets than individually.

20 Minute Challenge - Day 50
Day 50 is up 15 Feb
15mm Moderns have been getting a bash recently, only because I forgot to include my TY forces in the sprue count and found KG Muller, 2 boxes of Marders, M113 Morsers and Gepards in the garage.
Another Leopard 2 added. I really do need to get the airbrush out soon and at least complete the base coats on them all

Bulk upload of 15mm West Germans from the Team Yankee set.

20 Minute Challenge - Day 34
Day 34 (1 Feb)
PSC 15mm Leopard 1A4. The box has moved from the shelf into the sprue box and the first one has been put together. I have gone with 1A4's as opposed to the C1 as I have a 15mm German TY Force in the box and while I love the "First Clash" book by Kenneth Macksey I didn't fancy trying to put together a Canadian force.
