I did some simple terrain analysis of the BAOR Map a while ago which I have dusted off. The analysis was conducted taking the Movement Points from the Board Game for entering the differing terrain types displayed and colour coding it from 11 (River Crossing) down to 3.
It makes some interesting choices as it does mean that NATO can choose to deploy into protected terrain early on and then force the WP player into terrain that they cannot easily manoeuvre around or out of. It does make the Autobahn towards Hanover a very attractive route for the WP though :)
As with all gamers, projects come and go. Models you were thinking of moving on get a new lease of life due to a comment in the Hobby or a movie on TV. This will hopefully be my record of my best endeavours not to start anything new until I have at least completed 75% of what I already have....as if that is ever going to happen ;)
